Currently the rink is only open to the public during the hours posted here or on our instagram page. Guests who have rented cabins can skate any time, weather permitting.

We have built our rink from the ground up. We are now in our third year of ‘rinking’! Come skate, warm up by the fire or bring some friends and start a pickup game. Bring your own skates, snacks and beverages. We have recently added two more picnic tables for a total of three and a fire pit. We will try and provide some firewood, but if you can please bring your own. There are a few hockey sticks available to use. We ask that you please return them to the bin when you are done. For a full list of the “Rink Rules” or guidelines, see below.

We are looking forward to hosting some fun events on the ice including hockey tournaments, and kid’s events. Scroll down to see a few pictures!

We have had a number of requests for a way to make a donation towards the rink. We really appreciate the support and enthusiasm! If you are interested in donating to the rink, please see the Donate button at the top of the page. Thank you!

Outpost Rink Rules and Guidelines

In order to keep the rink and ice available to the public as much as possible and in the best shape possible, there are are few tips and tricks we try to abide by:

  • If you are going to shovel snow off the rink, please shovel the ENTIRE rink. Only shoveling small sections makes it extremely difficult to resurface. We appreciate the help shoveling, but do not expect it.

  • Do not skate when there is snow on the ice. This makes it very difficult to resurface.

  • Please remove everything from the ice, including goals, before you leave. Anything left on the ice can melt into the ice and create an uneven surface.

  • Do not dig holes in the ice.

  • Keep snow off the ice.

  • If you shoot a puck off the rink, please try and retrieve it.

  • Kids have priority over adults.

  • Please put sticks, pucks, and shovels, etc. back in the bins when you are done skating.

  • Be safe, have fun.

Thank you for helping us take care of the rink so we can all enjoy it!
